CAREER OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager primarily based in the GTA and Ontario regions (e.g. GTA, Sudbury, Sarnia, Bruce peninsula, Niagara, Ottawa, etc.). The successful candidate will be accountable for networking with clients, articulating Magna technical field services, automation or engineering proposed solutions, preparation, follow-up and closing on proposals and sales for primarily the Greater Toronto, Sarnia, Sudbury, Ottawa and Southern Ontario regions.

Accountabilities

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Client Relationship Management, Maintenance and Development

  • Work with our Operations teams and VP of Sales to build a strategy and focus on market segments available for opportunity and pursuit.

  • Identify and seek out leads with existing or new potential clients.

  • Coordinate activities with Operations, Sales, Business Development and Marketing personnel in a collaborative team effort to create confidence throughout industry on Magna IV’s capabilities.

  • Collaborate with the greater Sales and Marketing team members, Client Managers and related Discipline teams to share information and opportunities.

  • Foster a culture of strong client relationships and support team members in establishing strong relationships and effective communication with clients.

  • Identify opportunities for proposals, work alongside proposal co-ordinators, help draft proposals, and explain/negotiate proposals with clients and support all applicable project manager(s)

  • Assist in the development of proposals based on audits, studies, and recommendations in response to any client or external requests.

  • Interact with clients in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Attend client meetings to solidify Magna’s position, increase client confidence in all Magna teams.

  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to building client relationships and help strengthen and grow the business in the assigned territory.

  • Seek out networking opportunities with potential clients and industry colleagues at Conferences and in industry networking events in effort to grow Magna’s presence in the region.

  • It is expected that the Candidate, due to previous industry experience or relationships, has existing, networks, clientele and contacts to be approached for potential services by Magna.

Required Skills and Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A skilled individual, ideally with a technical background and education with early career, initial site technical and actual hands-on experience, and then also, some inside sales experience and then 5-8 years outside Sales experience as a Sales Leader, Client Manager or Technical Sales Representative.

  • Understanding of High, Medium and Low voltage equipment, commissioning, testing or maintaining power delivery equipment, including breakers, switchgear, relays, transformers

  • Broad knowledge in industrial, utility and commercial environments

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate and develop activities in effort to achieve results.

  • Proven ability to proactively and effectively communicate with various cross functional leaders and stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

  • Ability to multi-task, use good judgment, prioritize workload with exceptional organizational skills.

  • Excellent time management skills with an attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision, individually or in teams.

  • Dedicated to providing exceptional client experiences to our internal and external clients.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with highly developed relationship management skills to interact with various levels within the clients’ organization.

  • Proficient computer experience in CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, Teams, Microsoft Windows and all Microsoft Office applications

  • The ability to travel extended periods (days/week at a time), plus, must have a valid drivers’ license.

  • Proven commitment to safety and quality. A positive, “can-do” attitude, someone who is highly self-motivated, energetic, passionate and reliable.
