Magna IV has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician/Electrical Field Service Technician for our Denver office. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable to work with project teams on field projects; ultimately providing exceptional client service through commissioning, repair and maintenance of primary and secondary power equipment.
Accountabilities
Work with project teams effectively through collaboration, support, and team focus
Work safely and effectively on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems in a variety of environments, including commercial, utilities, manufacturing, mining, pipeline and oil and gas
Commissioning, repair and maintenance of primary and secondary power equipment including but not limited to: circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, protective relays, etc.
Confidently work with various brands of test and troubleshooting equipment
Complete technical report writing, data collection, and deficiency reports
Interact with clients in a courteous and professional manner
Identify and implement process improvements
Various other duties as required
Required Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:
Possesses 2+ years’ experience as an Electrician or Electrical Engineer/Electrical Technologist / Field Technician / Power System Electrician.
Relevant experience in maintenance, repair, rebuild and troubleshooting of transformers, protective relays and circuit breakers.
Proficient knowledge of the principles behind the test equipment used and a basic understanding of power systems.
Experience in the Installation, commissioning and start-up of power equipment.
Experience working with automation & control systems in the power and utilities market would be an asset
Possesses hands-on field experience in commissioning, testing or maintaining power delivery equipment, including breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformers.
Broad knowledge in commercial, industrial and utility environments.
Experience working with ANSI Standards.
Ability to travel nationally and internationally- approximately 50% overnight travel.
Degrees/Certifications/Qualifications:
Trade or technical school certification, preffered
PSE (Power Systems Electrician), PE or AT (Associate Engineering Technologist) and NETA (International Electrical Testing Association) certification, preferred
Must have a valid driver's license

Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical skills
Must be able to work in a dynamic work environment
Excellent time management skills (able to work with minimal supervision)
Able to work flexible hours that might include weekends, evenings and holidays
