Robin Allison leads Magna’s global Finance team by overseeing the corporate financial strategy, managing the company’s overall financial activities, and supporting operational excellence by overseeing the company’s Project Management Support, Supply Chain, Accounting and IT Teams.
Additionally, Robin maintains oversight of the company’s financial reporting, short and long-range business planning, treasury, and controllership responsibilities.
Nearly three decades of progressive finance and accounting experience across diverse geographic, business types, and roles including, several years as Planning Manager for a major Canadian and International retail organization, and several different finance and accounting roles with various wholesale, distribution, and service oriented companies, preceded his being appointed as Magna’s Controller in 2012. A year later he began serving in an expanded role as Chief Financial Officer.
Earlier in his career, Robin was responsible for financial planning and analysis, leading business plan development, financial forecasting, financial analysis, and capital commitment planning. One of Robin’s key accomplishments was in managing the implementation of a new ERP during the merger of 5 different entities coming together to form a new publicly traded entity.
Personally, Robin recently served as Treasurer on the board of a community association, enjoys the challenge of renovating a century old home, and the outdoor pursuits of golf and skiing.
