Client Development

• Help build and maintain relationships with clients to identify client needs, respond to      proposal requests and complete proposal preparation

• Attend pre-contract client meetings to help solidify Magna’s position and increase client      confidence in the local Magna team

• Demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to building client relationships and growing the      business in the United States

• Seek out networking opportunities with potential clients and industry colleagues through      industry networking events to grow Magna’s presence in the region

Project Management

• Create client proposals including scope, schedule, and budget

• Prepare and deliver 10 quotes/proposals per month

• Manage and execute projects won through individual efforts as well as projects assigned from      your Manager

• Turn opportunities identified through individual efforts into projects for $250,000 of      revenue during the first year of employment. Future revenue targets would be developed on an annual basis.

• Provide referrals to Engineering for new projects

• Work hands on and complete technical work as required

• Travel to various regions to complete project work as required to ensure high utilization

Project Leadership

• Ensure proper, complete preparation is done for scheduled work, including tools and equipment required

• Ensure safe work process is executed with each job and a culture of safety is fostered

• Apply practical application experience and knowledge of power systems related to low, medium to high voltage projects

• Work safely around low,  medium, and high voltage electrical systems in a variety of environments, including commercial, utilities, manufacturing, mining, pulp and paper,      pipeline and oil and gas

• Perform electrical system maintenance, including equipment testing, repair, and troubleshooting

• Ensure work is properly executed and accounted for

• Ensure completion of reports and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and completeness of work.

• Be a mentor and coach for junior employees and a cohesive member of the team

• Provide specific technical expertise to projects and help in the development of employee skills

• 5+ years experience as an Electrical Technologist with relay experience

• NETA III or IV certification an asset

• Hands-on field experience commissioning, testing or maintaining power delivery equipment, including breakers, switchgear, relays, transformers

• Broad knowledge in industrial, utility and commercial environments

• Proven ability to proactively and effectively communicate with various cross functional stakeholders to achieve operational excellence

• Ability to multi-task, exercise good judgment and prioritize workload through outstanding organizational skills

• Strong problem solving skills and the ability      to work with minimal supervision

• Excellent verbal and written communication skill

• Proven commitment to safety

• Must have a valid drivers’ license

• The ability to travel and work flexible shifts, which include weekends, evenings and holidays
