Tool Crib Coordinator is an important and rapid paced position which supports the business projects with tooling & equipment, including consumables and supplies.
Under the direction of the Global Fleet Analyst the Tool Crib Coordinator will be accountable for the daily operation of the tool crib. This position will inventory, store, and distribute equipment and tools as well as support the fulfillment of equipment requests. Additionally, this position will be support optimization projects.
This position reports directly to the Global Fleet Analyst, working closely and collaboratively with vendors, suppliers and other inter-departmental personnel including peers, client managers, and operational leaders.
The successful candidate will participate in the following duties:
Committed to maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized Tool crib area.
Inventory planning & forecasting, restocks, quoting, ordering, tooling research.
Manage asset tracking systems, create basic KPI’s and forecasting analysis
Manage supplier & vendor relationships
Coordinate calibration and repair needs.
Perform regular inventory management responsibilities such as cycle counts and asset health checks.
Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
Load / unload electrical equipment from vehicles.
Inspect, clean and test electrical tools and equipment for defects.
Report and track damaged equipment.
Audit the contents of various kits restocking components as required.
Inspect, clean, maintain and fuel fleet vehicles.
Package preparation for National and International shipping of parts, supplies and equipment.
Verifying, receiving, and documenting incoming goods
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Operate a forklift for inbound and outbound deliveries.
Required Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of related industry experience (Electrical)
2-year degree preferred but not required
Knowledge of tool crib operations and the concept of integrated supply, cost savings and supply chain management are a plus.
Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Experience with managing inventory, shipping/receiving and other warehouse processes
