We have an exciting opportunity for a Control Systems Programmer within our Automation team. Reporting to the Automation Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable to provide Operations and Maintenance Support primarily on control systems configuration, graphic design, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Accountabilities

Design and implement automation systems for both green field and brown field projects with ability to provide necessary deliverables to upgrade/migrate and expand existing systems
Configuration including configuration of control strategies, interpret control narrative and configure control loops consisting of simple, medium complexity, and high complexity loops
Program shutdown keys, and Safety Instrumented Functions (SIFs)
Confidently work with various brands of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
Implement best practices to optimize plant operations
Independently carry out client witnessed acceptance testing for software and hardware
Loop checks and tuning
Third party interface testing
Interface with third party products (PLCs, HMIs, OPC Clients, Historians)
Interface with clients to manage client expectations
Support instrumentation and network team for testing and troubleshooting
Provide Superior Client Experiences to assist in maintaining the trusted partner relationship with clients and other business partners
Complete projects on time, within budget and with exceptional quality
Partner with cross functional teams to meet client needs
Complete technical report writing
Interact with clients and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner
Site rotations are required (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off)
Required Skills and Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Trade, tech, or engineering school certification
Advanced knowledge and proven experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley ControlLogix and FactoryTalk View both ME and SE
Experience with industrial communication networks including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, and Modbus RTU
Hands-on field experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance of controls systems
Experience with any of the following platforms would be an asset:
- Schneider Electric Modicon and EcoStrucxure Control Expert
- Wonderware
-Emerson DeltaV
- Honeywell C200 and/or C300
Knowledge of VFDs would be an asset
Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment
Strong technical/computer background
Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and assignments
Advanced planning and organizational skills
Excellent time management skills with attention to detail
Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
A positive, “can-do” attitude
