We have an exciting opportunity for a Control Systems Programmer within our Edmonton Automation Team. Reporting to the Automation Team Lead, the successful candidate will be accountable for providing control systems programming, commissioning, and field support services; ultimately providing exceptional client experiences.
Become a key member in our growing Automation Team in Edmonton
Take the lead on control systems' projects including programming/commissioning new systems as well as upgrading/migrating legacy systems
Confidently work with various brands of PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, and industrial networks equipment
Provide operational and troubleshooting support for control systems and industrial networks on customer sites
Prepare project documents including P&IDs, control narratives, and shutdown keys
Complete technical report writing
Travel to client sites based on project requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a control systems programmer
Proven experience with at least two of the following systems is a must: Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley ControlLogix and FactoryTalk View both ME and SE; Schneider Electric EcoStrucxure Control Expert; Honeywell C200 and/or C300; Emerson DeltaV
Experience with industrial communication networks including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, and Modbus RTU
Hands-on field experience with commissioning and troubleshooting of controls systems
Knowledge of VFDs would be an asset
Trade, tech, or engineering school certification
Must have a valid driver’s license
Proficient English language skills
