Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer to work at four of our client’s sites throughout British Columbia. The successful candidate will be required to work 50% onsite and 50% remotely (this may change based on client discretion). **Qualified candidate may reside in either Alberta or British Columbia.
Accountabilities
Interface with customers to manage client expectations
Support customer visits with business development teams to help create new business
Provide Superior Client Experiences to assist in maintaining the trusted partner relationship with clients and other business partners
Interface with third party products (PLCs, HMIs, OPC Clients, Historians)
Complete projects on time, within budget and with exceptional quality
Partner with cross functional teams to meet client needs
Interact with clients and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner
Develop and implement process improvements to maximize efficiencies and client service
Site rotations as required
Travel 25-50% of the year based on project requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
3+ years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer
3+ years’ experience within an industrial process control and advances process control environment
Experience in Rockwell PLC programming
Experience in designing and implementing Advanced Process Control
Experience in designing and implementing Advanced regulatory controls
Experience in Multivariate data analytics
Experience in Wonderware HMI design is preferred
Experience in process simulation software an asset
Demonstrated experience/familiarity with one or all of the following systems would be an asset:
DeltaV
Honewell
Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley
Schneider/Modicon
Siemens
Wonderware
·Hands-on experience in Advanced Process Controls in water/wastewater, oil and gas, material handling, forestry or other industries
Working knowledge of other makes of DCS, PLCs and SCADA systems will be an asset
Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment
Strong technical/computer background
Skills in data management, analytics and optimization an asset
Exceptional communication skills and customer service practices
Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and assignments
Entrepreneurial work ethic
Advanced planning and organizational skills
Excellent time management skills with attention to detail
Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
A positive, “can-do” attitude
Willingness to travel; valid Class 5 driver license required
